First and foremost, we would like to say a big thank you to Katie, Helen and Pippa for hosting the prestigious Otley Business Awards on behalf of the Otley Chamber of Trade. The ceremony, which took place on Friday 18th March 2022 was attended by over 50 of Otley’s businesses. It was an absolute pleasure to see, and catch up with all the local businesses after 2 years of the Awards night itself being cancelled. A special shoutout goes to Katie Burnett who hosted the awards, as well as Stephanie Moon who was the Special Guest speaker. Finally, a big thank you to the Red Pepper Indian Restaurant for the catering and all the other volunteers who helped run the night.
Best Apprentice Award – Theo Rhodes
We’d like to say a massive congratulations to Theo Rhodes, who won the ‘Best Apprentice Award’ after he completed his Level 3 Apprenticeship here at Christopher Little & Co in December 2021. Theo passed and achieved the highest grade of Distinction. Since Theo started at Christopher Little & Co in September 2020, he has shown a key willingness to learn in the Financial Services, and has helped the business grow and expand. Being in a small team Theo has gone above and beyond to help play his part and to welcome new employees. Keep up the good work Theo!
Outstanding Contribution to the Business Community Award – Thomas Hatley
A special congratulations goes to Thomas Hatley, who won the ‘Outstanding Contribution to the Business Community 2022 Award’ or as it’s more commonly known as ‘The Lifetime Achievement Award’. For many, this was a surprise at first due to the award being kept secret until the night. However, it was certainly deserved by Tom in recognition for all his hard work and dedication to Christopher Little & Co & the Otley Business Community for all these years.
Tom first started working in Otley around 12 years ago and has held positions as President of the Chamber of Trade and Chair of Otley Business Improvement District.
As many of you will know, Tom always has a spare 5 minutes to lend a helping hand, no matter how busy he is. For the last 9 years, he has contributed to the community, whether it’s creating the Otley Business Awards 3 years ago. Or, by creating the Otley Winter Wonderland to raise money for Otley Food Bank. He is always finding ways to give back to the community.
As Tom continues to work hard and grow his business, we can only expect him to continue to relentlessly improve Otley and Christopher Little & Co as much as he can.
From the team here at Christopher Little & Co, we see first hand how hard he works. He is an incredible owner, and more importantly an incredible person. For that reason, we all wish him a huge Congratulations.
