I have worked in finance and accounts since 1977. I spent almost 20 years with a local company called Lyons Seafoods and the last 20 years with another local firm called Dents.
Things have changed a lot in that time as we didn’t have computers when I first started, so we would spend hours manually inputting information. I have always enjoyed working with numbers and dealing with the various areas of accounts such as purchase ledger, credit control and so on.
While I recently retired from full-time work, I am thrilled to take on this new role at Christopher Little & Co which will hopefully provide some admin support to the team.
When I'm not at work
I love to travel so I spend a lot of my time researching new places to visit. Going on holiday is my favourite thing to do!
I also walk a lot. I organise a power-walking group and we get out several times a week, covering at least five miles each session. I attempt a bit of running when I can as well.
